Sunpower Dealers,

First, we want to express our sympathy for the difficult situation you're dealing with. At LightReach, we've been putting in long hours lately to come up with a plan to support the Sunpower dealer network. We've developed a go-forward plan, detailed below, with an eye toward supporting as many Sunpower dealers as possible. Details on this program can be found below.

The Headline:

LightReach will accept new Certified Installer applications on an expedited basis, and, accept qualifying customers who are not yet installed.

Installations must use LightReach AVL equipment. No Sunpower branded equipment of any kind will be accepted.

The Qualifying Details:

All impacted customers must pass LightReach's standard requirements, including:

  • Customer Qualifying: Standard Credit, title, & closing requirements

  • Site Qualifying: Standard site eligibility requirements

  • Equipment Qualifying: Equipment must be on our standard AVL

  • Design Qualifying: Ensure production estimates are run using LightReach design and modeling inputs here

    • Must re-run the shade analysis to ensure accurate production prior to sending LightReach contract to homeowners to reduce potential for change orders

    • Production will likely be different vs Sunpowers modeling engine

Where to Start:

Installers must onboard via LightReach's standard process.

  • Application via golightreach.com

  • Input Referral Source: “Sunpower”

  • Standard insurance requirements, with one exception:

    • LightReach will temporarily suspend loss/run requirements in good faith and allow portal access as long as all other onboarding requirements are met and loss runs are turned in within 10 business days from portal activation

Installer Expectations:

  • LightReach will have a dedicated group of resources for impacted partners, and work to approve future installations in a timely manner. Funding will not be an issue.

  • LightReach is providing additional capacity to review a large influx of projects on top of our existing submissions. We must be mindful not to negatively impact our existing channel partners who have been doing business with LightReach over the last year.

  • Our Relationship Managers will work closely with you and your team to prioritize projects and support short term cash flow. This will require collective effort from both parties, we ask for your patience and tact as you work with us to help as many impacted projects as possible.

Greentech Equipment Direct Pay

  • LightReach has a partnership with Greentech that allows for LightReach to pay Greentech directly for equipment on behalf of the solar installer.

  • The program requires signup with BOTH Greentech and LightReach.

  • Contact Greentech Finance to discuss competitive equipment pricing options.

Support:

  • Installer support operates directly through the LightReach portal (palmetto.finance).

Project Payment Terms:

  • LightReach will send an addendum outlining payment terms for Milestone 1 (Install Approved) and Milestone 2 (Activation Approved)
