PTO Greenlight Overview:

Previously, we teed up the PTO Greenlight process with a potential for strict penalties based on premature PTOs. Since then, our behind the scenes process have largely made this process more efficient.

  • All jobs will automatically move to PTO greenlight (processed every night) after install submittal

  • The overall process will be physically smaller and less prominent in the portal

The PTO Greenlight Granted status below will no longer be visible in the portal as the approval happens within 24 hrs.

What to Upload

When submitting Permission to Operate (PTO) requirements in the Activation (M2) Package: Submit Utility PTO proof such as letter/email copy, or screenshot of utility portal status. This can now be submitted independently from the the Activation (M2) package.

  • Most Common: The majority of utilities provide either a formal letter, or more commonly a system notification/email of PTO.

  • Common: Some utilities without a formal notification may require a simple snapshot of the utility portal status confirming PTO.

  • Uncommon: In rare cases, in which the utility does not grant any visual on PTO whatsoever, the below affidavit can be completed and submitted.

PTO Affidavit (Uncommon)

The following affidavit letters are to provide LightReach notice that the local utility does not grant formal permission to operate notice.

This scenario is extremely rare and should only be used when the utility provides absolutely no formal proof of PTO.

This completed document can be used in lieu of a traditional PTO document n the Activation M2 milestone.
