LightReach Policy
Manufactured homes are permissible if the home has a permanent foundation and is structurally sufficient for PV. Additional requirements apply and are detailed below. Home must have a permanent foundation regardless of where the panels are mounted.
It is the responsibility of the Certified Installer to ensure compliance. If in doubt, we recommend avoiding potential milestone issues by steering clear of the site.
Eligible Manufactured Homes: Additional Requirements
Ownership (title/deed) of the property (land) which the home occupies
Photosets. Recommend the following context:
HUD tag or Data plate
Clear photo(s) of permanent masonry foundation
A manufactured home may sit upon a permanent masonry foundation that takes several forms, such as:
Concrete Slab
Full basement
Perimeter (often associated with a crawl space)
Post & Pier foundations with dry stacked cinder block piers, without a mortared perimeter as an example, is not considered an approved foundation.

Structural Integrity
PE Letter, Signed & Sealed
Installer is responsible for validating that the home complies with the Federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards (specifically for wind, snow, and roof loads) with the addition of solar.
Disqualified Foundation: Likely not on a permanent foundation. Note the aluminum skirting. Dry stack piers are not allowed without the mortared perimeter.
Acceptable Foundation: Permanent mortared foundation, a slab/basement
