The Palmetto Generator milestone requirements were designed by industry leaders with operations personnel in mind, making it easier to submit documentation and get projects funded. This article references a high level overview of our milestones specifically for our Generator Program. Our milestones are designed to:
Protect the homeowner by verifying their identity and payment information
Protect LR and Certified Installers by confirming the sale details
Ensure all payment milestones can be completed in a timely fashion
Palmetto follows a "Freedom within the Framework" approach. Installers may sell and install at their discretion, within the framework of our comfortplan.palmetto.finance guidelines.
Qualification
The Qualification milestone lays the groundwork for a successful project. They cover the basic customer and system details. Accuracy at this stage prevent delays later in the process.

Credit check
Notice to Proceed (NTP)
NTP confirms agreement, customer verification, payment information, and stipulations have been completed. It is Palmetto's signal to the contractor that the contract package is fully executed, and the Installer has the go ahead to proceed with installation.
Installation
Installation is the first major operational milestone. The contractor is signaling to Palmetto the installation is physically complete, with accurate design documentation, and photo deliverables have been uploaded.
Customer Sign-Off
A quick, post-installation confirmation completed by the homeowner.
This step verifies that the installation has been completed and the system is functioning as expected.
The Customer Sign-Off task is completed directly in the homeowner’s home.palmetto.com account.
If the customer does not manually complete the sign-off, the task will auto-complete after approximately 3 business days.
