Introducing the Palmetto Comfort Plan
Palmetto, a diversified home electrification financing platform is launching a consumer focused Comfort Plan to support the adoption of energy efficient systems across markets. This article explains what the Comfort Plan is and which technologies it covers. For the details of any one technology (pricing, credit, eligible sites, install requirements), use the links in the "Technologies covered" section below.
When a customer signs up for the Comfort Plan, they pay a fixed monthly lease payment for their system. Plans include annual maintenance, a full parts & labor warranty, no upfront costs, and predictable payments with minimal escalation.
Market dynamics are drastically changing around consumer behavior and drivers to their economic mindset, many are pivoting away from ownership and moving to lease models due to:
Increased System Costs
Tariffs, Refrigerant price increase, service price increases
Consumer credit is getting stretched with limited headroom under debt to income ratios
Service & Maintenance pains. Lots of unknowns for HVAC systems life
Because this is a lease, qualification does not affect the homeowner’s credit score and is not subject to debt-to-income requirements. Only a soft credit check is required, allowing customers to qualify quickly without a hard credit inquiry or DTI constraints.
