Overview

To keep projects on schedule and compliant during the SolarEdge Backup Interface (BUI) shortage, guidelines will be provided to allow conditional approval installation submitted (M1) while awaiting components. M1 packages can be submitted and approved with exceptions for BUI requirements, which are deferred to Activation package (M2), ensuring projects continue moving through the pipeline.

M1 Requirements

These guidelines allow conditional approval while awaiting components to keep projects on schedule and compliant while working through the SolarEdge shortage.

All requirements must be satisfied to achieve M1 conditional approval with the exception of all Balance of System (BOS) components installed up to the point of the back up interface including all roof photo requirements.

Follow the M1 checklist HERE which mirrors the review process for M1.

All BOS components installed up to the point of the back up interface must be installed with applicable photos for M1 conditional approval - examples of needed components below.

  • Inverter serial Label

  • RGM production meter

  • Battery Serial label

  • AC disconnect (if line diagram indicates AC disco on BOS side of BUI)**

  • BOS Pullback of equipment installed (excluding BUI)**

  • Consumption CTs

  • Back up interface installed and wired

  • Complete BOS pullbacks with BUI installed

  • Interconnection of inverter into BUI

  • AC disconnect fully wired (applies only for fused disconnects)

  • BUI Seral label

  • Interconnection
